Quaker Day Craft and Community Festival
Plainfield Friends Meeting
(A Quaker Church)
In the early 1970s the women of Plainfield Friends Church began a "Church Mouse Sale" in the church basement. That event grew into a craft sale held on the church lawn. Food was served in a tent on the lawn and a parade was added in the 1980s.
The Friends Church continues to put on the sale today, with food served in the church basement and a recently added car show under the trees in front of the historic Western Yearly Meeting building.
The Parade is now run by the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, and Plainfield Friends Church continues to offer the craft sale, kids activities, food, and the car show.
